Shattler Lacrosse Academy

Jeff Shattler a Toronto raised Ojibway who has played in the National Lacrosse League (NLL) for the past 13 years. Jeff signed with the Saskatchewan Rush in 2017 he helped the team win a championship and also received Playoff MVP.  Shattler spent his first 12 years with Calgary Roughnecks securing NLL League MVP and Transition Player of the Year in 2011. In 2009, Shattler captured his first NLL title. Shattler also has represented Team Iroquois at international level capturing 2 silver and 1 bronze.

CAREER NLL PRO  STATS as of Nov 2018:

231 GP    327G     518A       845PTS

I realized that stats aren't important unless you can share what you have learnt with others.  I see the value of educating students and athletes of how and where Lacrosse came to be Canada's National Summer Sport! I would like to pass down the values and skills that I have received to the upcoming generations to come.

"I want to reach out to our youth, teach them the game and history. I want to give our youth a chance to be a part of something, interact and be active. My promise is to teach our youth the game. I love the skills I've learned and share in the life lessons and opportunities that I've had along the way"

History of Box Lacrosse

  • The coming of the 1930s brought innovation once again to the sport. Promoters in Canada married the two most popular games, Lacrosse and Ice Hockey, and created Indoor Lacrosse, also known as Box Lacrosse or Boxla. The game was built upon speed and action.
